Assembly builder
In short
Build an assembly from existing products: pick parts from catalogs or BOMs, snap them to connection points, and let Daedalus check fit, power and environment.
Pick parts
Search connected catalogs, BOMs from your other designs or your own parts. Filter on classification, stock, 3D model available and fit, such as thread size.
Snap and nest
Parts snap to matching ports, threads and mounting holes. Sub-assemblies — a controller with its own PCBA and enclosure — nest in the assembly tree.
Checks
Thread and size match (e.g. ½" BSP)
Electrical compatibility (coil voltage vs relay, power budget)
Environment (IP rating for outdoor use)
Note
Where a catalog has no STEP model, Daedalus draws a simplified envelope from the dimensions and marks it as approximate.
